Down 3-1 with 2:11 to go, and we take a penalty. Looks like that will be the game
Bring back the glory!

didn't understand pulling the goalie being short handed with less than 2 to go when we have made very few chances at even strength that challenged their goalie.

It doesn't hurt. We are losing by 2 and we are not going to score short handed. A loss is a loss.

that is true. we put to many shots into them and not to their goalie. Hafner had a very easy night from watching it. We were just not very sharp tonight.

I'm pretty sure Canisius's gameplan will be to score the first goal then proceed to take a penalty every 2 minutes for the rest of the game.
To anyone who watched the game, how did Nell look? Was his game off, or did his defense hang him out to dry?

The first goal was basically a 1 on none. The second goal was just a bad goal. Third it hit him and jumped over him into the net. He looked okay but he was not expecting the guy to shoot from the half wall and it went right through him. His reaction was way to late. But we started by taking a penalty letting them break into the zone 1 on none to score less than a minute and a half into the game.

Rough night. Listened online so not sure exactly how ugly it was but it sure sounded bad. How the team bounces back this weekend is going to be big.

Hopefully just a bad game and it serves as a wake up call. Tough going on the road two days after a hard fought win on Saturday, but no excuse as WMU did it too. Luckily still early, but kind of scary to see us get dominated by an average team.

Call it 3 games in 5 days if you want. I'm still calling that an excuse.
If we split or get swept this weekend are people going to say thats 5 games in 9 days.
As a player and a coach you know the schedule get yourself ready to play. They didn't look ready to play. Everything else is an excuse. Losing to a team that probably won't be on the NCAA bubble come March isn't good. Want in the NCAA tournament can't let to many of those games slip away or you end up .0002 away from it......................

Exactly. I expect Berg will have them back ready to play this weekend and hopefully sweeping the weekend again.

Not sure, but....
I believe they drove up yesterday afternoon to WMU. I saw a Lakefront bus at the back of the Ice Arena at 1:00 PM with the luggage area open. Thought it was weird for the hockey team to be leaving at 1:00 PM for a game at WMU at 7:00 PM that same evening.
