vs. #17 Michigan Tech

Post by jpfalcon09 »

Big weekend for BG as they have a chance to not only solidify their WCHA standing but also try to improve their Pairwise ranking. Both games are home before BG travels to Mankato to face the Mavericks.

When you consider the ramifications on league standings and PWR, this may be the most important series we've had at home in 20 years.

A great Madhouse on Mercer compliment, posted by a Tech fan on the USCHO.com forum:
If you are going to any of the BGSU games this weekend, the ceiling in the rink is real low and so it's very loud in there. You might want to bring ear plugs.

I also read that on uscho and i had to chuckle. Time to be as kind to Phillips as we were to Mantha. But i do think both are fairly good goaltenders.

End of the first, BG down 0-2.

Horrible second half of the period.

4-4 tie.

After how we played the 1st period I will take the tie.

Currently 2pts out of first and 4 pts ahead of Tech in the stabdings. A win tomorrow ties us for 1st and would put us 6pts ahead of Tech.

Need a W tonight to tie Minn State a for first. Teams the finish 2 or 3rd are going to have a tough semi-final weekend is chalk holds through the tournament. That's what BG's had to do the last two years. It's beneficial to finish first. Playing Tech then State on back to back nights is a tall task for anyone.

A W tonight would give BG control of their own destiny and a chance to play the four seed. Going in tied next weekend gives them a fighting chance even if we tie again twice in Mankato.

Go get 'em boys. Lets have another big crowd tonight.

Roll along.....BG

you really need to go to the tech page in uscho fan forum and read how tech was the better team, bowling green was goonish, all the penalties were against them, they didn't help their own goalie. Nell is weak on the glove side. The guys forum name was manurespreader and i think he grows something in the manure that makes him blind. Thank god tech never held anybody behind the play all night.
