Scores hold true looks like Tech is going to take the League title based on head-to-head with MSU

Man a win last night and tonight could of made it interesting with a three way tie for first.

Stats of the Night for you all:

7 league losses = 4 against the bottom three teams

5 league ties = 2 against the bottom three teams

What if.....................

End of 2, BG leads 3-0. BG will start the 3rd on a powerplay. Not sure if 2 or 5. Should be 5 for the sucker-punch Spezia took as time expired.

Edit: 2 minutes for roughing. So much for cracking down on contact to the head.

5-0 final. So many missed opportunities makes it seem like a ho-hum victory. Going to need to play a whole lot better to make it past next weekend.

I'm just glad to be rid of that UAH play-by-play guy.... Everytime the puck went behind the net we were regaled with tales of the trapezoid.

Face Bemidji for the first round. They shut out Mankato tonight, 1-0.

Tech and Mankato tie for the regular season championship. Tech gets the 1 seed for the tournament.

How the heck did we lose to this garbage team last night?

Would of had the #2 seed if we would have won Friday.

Though I'd rather play Bemidji then Lake Superior. We've struggled that last two years with Superior.

Get two wins next weekend.

I bet you people said that when we were beating teams 4-6 years ago. Have to give Alabama credit

Even with last night's egg, plenty of good things from the weekend:
-> Nell's shutout record(s).
-> The Cooper-Hawkins-Baylis line doing some serious damage.
-> Back-to-back 20-win seasons.
-> Bergeron's 100th win with the Falcons.

Home cooking vs. Bemidji!

The difference was Friday night Huntsville hit the net on their chances. Last night they didn't. They missed a lot of chances wide of the net, over the net, put a shot off Nell's pad when he made a blind stab at it......Nell looked shaky. The team in front of him didn't look much better. Sure they scored 5 goals and got the shutout. I don't think they played all that well. Play like that against Bemidji and they'll be watching the conference championships from the couch (provided they can actually find it on TV).

No Kidding!! We were on Twitter saying we needed to take a shot every time he said "trapezoid!" It was pretty funny!! Between that and him not being able to pronounce Spezia's name....kept calling him SpeTzia. The announcer in the arena even said it correctly. :roll: I think Friday night he said about 3 or 4 different versions of his name. He also mispronounced Delgadillo... :roll:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
