The new Datsyuk...?

Not BG related...but look at this goal by Detroit's Andreas Athanasiou. How was he still on the board in the 4th round?

I've definitely seen similarities between him and Datsyuk before. He's a fun one to watch. Probably the best thing we have going for us considering Jimmy Howard is going to Vegas in 5 months and we're about to miss the playoffs for the first time in my life . ](*,)

I don't think Howard is the guy we lose. I think it will be Sheahan. Larkin, Mantha, AA is a good top line to work with. Dump Vanek, Green, Smith (if/when he's healthy) for picks at the deadline and play Jensen, Oulett and Sproul every night on defense to see if they're as good as they look in this year's limited exposure. We NEVER should have signed Helm. that contract is an albatross and he's making top six money with fourth line hands...and he's hurt a lot

Kiss that p[layoff streak goodbye

..or not...

...after three straight wins at the Joe..including tonight's improbable SO win against the Bruins...the wings are but 4 points out of the playoffs and they seem to be jelling. Jensen and Oulett have established themselves as a pretty decent defense pairing and that's given the defense a boost.
