If you'd rather not drive the whole way, you can fly into Marquette and drive the final two hours.

At last check the round trip ticket out of Detroit was $250.

I know 4 season ticket holders who would be up for that scene!
That is a great idea but who knows what is going on in the ice arena at that time. The ice is almost perpetually in use for one thing or another.
You know if it's not on TV, no establishment in town will be having a watch party. Highly disappointing given many establishments made a lot of money off the success of the hockey in prior years, decades.

I'd go to the rink with others to watch.

I know twice I've sign up to ride the fan bus to go to Grand Rapids when it was offered to playoff games and both were cancelled because of lack of interest. Highly doubt a bus trip to Houghton is in the planning.

Just throw the game up in the Falcon Club, move the tables and add a lot of chairs.

Saturday is MAC Gymnastics Championships. (Shameless plug, the meet starts at 2pm and tickets are available!!!) We won't be cleaned up and out until 9pm or so. Why not the Union theatre???

Just put it on in the meeting rooms in the SEBO. It can hold about 150 comfortably. Cater in some food. I know one thing, when the basketball team makes the NCAA they should do what Northwestern did. Northwestern was issuing FREE tickets to the game and free night in hotel room for 2 nights for those season ticket holders of over 20 years to show their support. So that's about $600 worth of tickets and accommodations at hotel, however you still needed to find travel arrangements to Salt Lake City, Utah. Was a very nice feature.

The Clubhouse at Stoneridge Golf Course is also free. My parents checked on that. BG held its signing day party. That would be a good place. Could accommodate several hundred, several 78" TVs, good food (burgers, Wings, pizza, etc) and beer.

We felt competitive in the early 1990s and we went a nice run or two near the end of the CCHA. If you had asked me, I would have guessed that surely somewhere in all that time the Falcons were in a conference tournament final.

But I guess not.

The thing is, I never doubted that Bowling Green is a hockey school and that we could get back to competing for NCAA tournament berths again. But, given how long it has been, I guess I can see why others had some doubt.

It's good to be back.
Actually, it's been since 1988. They made it to the semifinals in 1990, but lost that game & played in the third place game. BGSU did go to the NCAAs in 1990, but '88 was the last time BG went to a conference championship game.

1988 is a long time. It'll be tough on the road but it seems like BG is playing it's best right now. Maybe we'll pull it out.

I was 5 the last time BG played in a conference championship game. I don't remember getting to watch it (probably didn't). Yes, it's been a very long time.

I was a Freshman at BG and at that game in JLA against Lake Superior.

After growing up with BG hockey in the 70's, going to all the great games of the 80's, including Lake Placid and being classmates with Blake and Emerson........I NEVER would have believed at the time that the next BG Hockey title game would be in 2017.......LOL Crazy stuff.

Hopefully we get it done.

Thought I would drop by and inform you that I spoke with Kit Hughes from Athletics about the possibility of showing the game in a commercial environment and we have everything in place to show the game at Downtown where I work. So I would like to invite you to join us for the game. Come one come all.
