Attention ANYONE who has ever attended a game, played a game, refereed a game, skated, curled, supported youth hockey, etc... at the Slater Family Ice Arena, please share your story to help the Ice Arena win Kraft's HockeyvilleUSA contest! Winning arena gets $150,000 in upgrades and gets to host a pre-season NHL game!! I can't believe there is another arena anywhere that has the storied history that ours does. Bumping this up to remind everyone who reads, writes or just lurks here, to PLEASE go to the Slater Family Ice Arena's Hockeyville USA rally page and post your story/connection/memory of the BG Ice Arena! It doesn't take long but every story adds points for us! The deadline for posting is coming! It's MARCH 10th! Then the judges will read through all of the notes and stories posted, along with the pictures people have posted. They then will pick the 4 top for a nation wide vote!
