A joint press conference will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 1:30 pm at the Huntington Center. The press conference will take place prior to Bowling Green's home game against Western Michigan at 7:37 pm that evening in Slater Family Ice Arena. Representatives of BGSU, Western Michigan, College Hockey Inc. and The Huntington Center will be in attendance

How about correcting that. A joint conference will be held on TUESDAY OCT 23. Thursday is the 25th.

May be great, but we don't know the MAC football schedule yet and this could be Homecoming weekend. I'm sure it will split a lot of people if it ends up that way. I'm sure this is already on the forefront of thoughts when planning this event so my guess is HC is in September next year so avoid the conflict.

I respect the fact they are doing this on the 50th anniversary of the program. Glad to see Wayne Wilson and RIT will be our first game of the tournament. Very classy.
Been nice to see BC and Jerry York on the ticket as well.

I would guess Homecoming will be the end of September next year. From my understanding, the athletic department gets to request the date they would like for homecoming, so I would assume they will schedule around this strategically. It's a big deal, and I would hope they would be willing to work around people who are fans of both programs.

I would have thought Homecoming would be October 5th, but football plays at Notre Dame that day.

This tournament is October 11 and 12.

I would guess homecoming could easily be the weekend of Oct. 19th, depending on how the MAC schedule is set up. Even the 26th wouldn't be too late. Most likely, one of those dates will be a home contest against a MAC foe -- a much more likely possibility for a homecoming game.
