Edit: I think we can get past Augustana even though it's a stupidly long road trip (thanks for nothin', Lucia) and they're opening their building/program. Based on my gut reaction I have us at 15-19. I reserve the right to amend this as we get closer to puck drop.

Wow. I got my dates from ccha.com. Ever since Dominic Hennig left the quality hasn’t been the same. Last time I looked they still showed Moose on the league management council despite me reminding them he got the boot.

They actually aren't opening their new building until January in a series vs Ferris. The BG series will be at the arena where Sioux Falls' USHL team plays

On paper it's a friendly schedule. WMU will be down. The Mavs will be very down. Robert Morris is re-entering the D1 landscape. Augustana just getting themselves oriented. The Mercyhurst games may be sneaky good. Buckeyes likely the biggest challenge. Just no telling how good BG will be this season with the amount of experience they've lost, although it didn't really seem to matter in 2022-23. Gut tells me it's the final year of Eigner at the helm and the team finishes below .500 and in the lower half of the CCHA.

I feel like the CCHA is completely wide open this year in a way it hasn't been in a really long time. But I have no sense of how good or bad we might be.

I'm hoping that bringing back Swankler gives the group a boost. He will probably be the best player in the league next year by a decent margin.
