@ Tech (12/1 & 12/2)
Re: @ Tech (12/1 & 12/2)
I guess we’ll take a split. 5-11 through 16 games isn’t remotely pretty, but it’s where we’re at.
Ferris comes to town next week. Need to find a way to stack some wins here going into the semester break.

Positives…
1. the team is at least competitive the last few weeks.
2. The league is no longer completely dominated by Mankato.
Negatives…
1. Ceiling on this team is very low. They have to play extremely smart and get some bounces to win consistently.
2. This team should be much, much better in this league and competing for occasional at large bids.
Focus needs to be improving and getting ready for playoffs. They aren’t likely to do much, but the league isn’t strong and they could easily upset anyone in a best of 3 weekend.

We all knew coming into this season it was going to be pretty ugly. They're far too young on the blue line to play disciplined enough hockey for 60 minutes each night. The efforts have gotten better since Scardina and Fyten returned, and a guy like Waters has shown a nice scoring touch. The goal for the program should be developing those youngsters the rest of the season and looking to the future, perhaps with a change at leadership.TommyG wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 12:34 pm Positives…

Pietila gets the CCHA goaltender of the week award. I guess the goal Kersten scored from behind the goal line didn't factor into the decision.

He's obviously had a very good career, but BG plays well against that guy. We chased him from the game twice last year and beat him again on Friday. We kinda own the guy, weirdly.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 3:33 pm Pietila gets the CCHA goaltender of the week award. Missing Norris since the dirty hit against Mercyhurst hasn't helped the powerplay.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 3:30 pm
