Disappointing weekend. Very easily could and should of been 6 points. Splitsville has entered the schedule again. Dropped 3 spots in the pairwise, looking at that is depressing. Hoping we can pull out 2nd in the league which seems obtainable.

I'll consider it a successful first year of the Dennis Williams era if we pass last year's win total and host a playoff series. Anything more than that and I'll be more than pleased.unfalconbelievable wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 1:21 pm Disappointing weekend. Very easily could and should of been 6 points. I'm still holding out hope that we can sneak our way to a home CCHA semifinal game (something not even Chris Bergeron could do in the WCHA!), and potentially even steal the playoff trophy - I'd love nothing more than to drive up to the Huntington Center in Toledo for the regional we are hosting and see just how orange we could paint that place.

Giving up 3, 6 on 5 goals cost BG 7 spots in the pairwise. Sweep Ferris and you crack the top 30, instead fighting the next two series to undo what we did to ourselves.

I totally agree with this line of thinking, because giving up those extra attacker goals was brutal.unfalconbelievable wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:15 pm Giving up 3, 6 on 5 goals cost BG 7 spots in the pairwise. But I also am of the mindset that the Pairwise basically doesn't matter because we were never getting an at-large to begin with. The CCHA is an annual one bid league unless the best team is good enough to stay in if they don't win the conference tournament. So I don't get too concerned about that - higher priority for me is the playoff seeding race.
