After one season, the Seattle Kraken have fired HC Dan Bylsma...seems like he got a raw deal.
Francis is moving up so a new GM is coming in that wants a clean slate. Is it too late for him to apply for the open assistant coach position? Only half kidding...
Closing date on the listing is "continuous." But there is this part:
Deadline to apply: The search committee will review applications until the position is filled; however, for best consideration, applications should be provided by April 25, 2025.
With all the recent talk about NCAA coaches moving to the NHL, this is the perfect example of why they don't.

Walleye advance to the Kelly Cup finals. Sam Craggs, Tyler Spezia, Brandon Hawkins, and Brandon Kruse are playing for the hardware.
Ironically, there's 5 former Tech players on the team also (thought the two schools hated each other). Add Hilman from Mankato, and at least half the team if from the CCHA.

Add in Dylan Moulton who was initially a BG commit but followed Berge and Barry to Miami State.

Thought this was a cool graphic.
Hawkins appropriately above AND separate from the other three.
Jokes aside, I really hope BG welcomes him back when the time comes. One of the bigger what ifs in my time as a BG fan - he could have been a senior on that 2019 team if the injury he had when he left had forced him out all year (he missed all year, but that was a rule for transfer at the time). Even if he couldn't have been on the 2019 team, the 2017 team was an overtime goal in Houghton away from breaking through. And the 2018 team won 23 games without him - imagining would they would've been with him is another big what if. He's a 2x ECHL MVP in our backyard and he WANTS to be in Northwest Ohio. I sincerely hope he is recognized as a Falcon when the time comes, even if he was only here for 2 years.
