I see a team doing too much thinking and not enough playing the game. I'm sure it will get better as the season progresses. I hate to say it but I think the only thing that will matter this year is winning CCHA games.

I would say that we were not the better team tonight.

Bad loss to a bad team. Early in the season, so I’m trying not to panic, but oof. Third period seems like it was better, so hopefully they carry that into tomorrow and salvage a split. But uh oh. We had better grow and grow fast.

Big roster turnover so this was expected. Willy said as much during the preseason Zoom call. I'll be more concerned if things are still like this in November.

1-0 good guys after 1. We look very different tonight in a good way. Still taking way too many penalties.

Remember, running a player's head into the boards is NOT a penalty.

We gave up 3 in the second and missed on a breakaway that would have tied things at two. Sigh.

Patience…

Going to take time for the new guys. College hockey is a different game from juniors. Obviously a disappointing weekend but things need to kept in some perspective. You can push the panic button if things are still like this in middle November.

Be accepting of this all you want. This is 100% NOT how good programs start. In press conference it wad said by Williams, there will be bumps in the roads, BS, that's 100% lowering the bar. I'm not having it. This is a panic level sweep. Number 1 recruiting class
, nope not buying it. Can't beat a bottom 15 team in college hockey. We are only getting to the NCAA tournament if we win the conferences tournament. Being good enough to be an at large for the NCAA tournament is gone. We might be better in November, most teams are, but to accept this as growing pains, roster turnover...I'm saying BS. Win games against teams your supposed to. Utterly frustrating. Not acceptable on any level.

Where did I say I was accepting anything? I said it was a disappointing weekend. That can be true along with it being very early in the season. Expecting immediate results with all the fresh faces is foolish. It is going to take some time for everyone to gel and for the CHL guys to acclimate to college hockey.

I swear the hot takes get exhausting.
