mbenecke wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 7:06 am There are 7 (!) reserved tickets remaining for the home game against Ohio State on Saturday, January 3rd. GA tickets are also critically low on supply. If you’re on the fence about going, you’ll need to get tickets now!

We bought ours and have some family planning to go, but I’m a little worried they’re going to get shut out of the place if they haven’t gotten their tickets yet. It WILL be a sellout. Should be an awesome atmosphere.
Yeah I blew it here. I wonder if there’s a few Mezzanine or an open Ice Box available?
Dang!

Not sure about Mezzanine or Ice Boxes. Might be worth a call to the ticket office.

There are currently 49 reserved and 0 general admission tickets available for the home game against Notre Dame on 1/31. If you’re trying to get to that one, make sure you snatch your tickets!

I already locked it in. If anything the fact students will be back for the ND game is a solid payoff

There's a guy who maintains a ranking system for all players (not goalies) in D1 hockey. His methodology is described on one of the tabs. It's similar to the CHN CHIP rankings. What I find interesting is that all of the data elements used to produce the final calculations are available in the last tab so you can download for comparing/contrasting. Thought I'd share.

Here's a link to the ranking model:

I've been keeping an ELO model of the league this year and have a chart showing the probability of each team finishing in a particular place. Prior to this weekend we were pretty evenly split between 1st and 6th along with Tech, Bemidji, and Augustana. Mankato and the Tommies were skewing towards the 1-4 spots. The Lakers, 'Dawgs, and 'Cats have been solidly in the 7-8-9 spots.

After this weekend it's the Tommies with the inside track with us, Auggie, and Tech in the hunt. The Mavs and Beavs are in first place for 5th and 6th. With that said, there are still 7 weeks left in the season so there's still a ton of variability and anything is still possible (except us finishing 7-8-9). To mix metaphors, it's still anybody's ball game. We absolutely must get 6 points this weekend as going forward all our games are against teams in the 1-6 spot.

Anyone go to the Lunch Zoom with Willy today? Anything interesting? I was busy teaching 6th graders today, so I couldn't make it.

Curious as well. The announcement of Soto signing coinciding with the first day of classes, and now two forwards injured.

I attended. I thought it was a lot of Willy-speak. Someone asked about injuries and all he said was "That's confidential." Someone else tried a follow-up, exact same response. That said, it was an enjoyable call. He went 10 minutes over. He talked about how selfless the team is, that Doran could have closed out Ferris with the ENG but he tossed it to Whynott so he could get his first goal. There were a couple other stories like that.

Willy is much more on-message than Eigs was. You could get Eigs to go off script and tell you some sh!t. Not Willy, he'll tell you some great stories but as far as getting scoop, nada.

Higgins with ROW. Emerson, with 4 points to lead all forwards, gets left on the curb since the league can't have two BG guys win a weekly at the same time.
