Kevin Bieksa, Defense (Manitoba Moose)
A steady defenseman for four years at Bowling Green (CCHA), Kevin Bieksa made a successful jump to the pro ranks in 2004-05. A 23-year-old from Grimsby, Ont., leads all AHL defensemen with his plus-22 rating on the season, and has amassed 10 goals, 26 assists and 175 penalty minutes while skating in all 73 games for the Moose. Bieksa was named the Reebok AHL Rookie of the Month for March.

Wow! That's fantastic! Way to start a pro career!!!

From what I've heard, if there was an NHL season right now, Kevin would probably be playing in it!!
