Pedota's first professional goal

Post by falcons86 »

Hi everybody. Friday, my wife and I were on our way to Hershey, Pa, and decided to stop in Wheeling, WV and take in the Nailers and Dayton Bombers game. It turned into a great night when we got to see Chris Pedota score his first professional goal, A shorty at that! The Bombers ended up losing in a shootout 3-2. Also, Steve Brudzewski had an assist for the Bombers. We wore our Bowling Green sweaters to the game, and what made it really special was that when the teams came out between the 2nd and 3rd persiods, Chris looked up in the stands and saw my wife with her BG sweater on, he smiled and raised his stick for her. That ladies and gentlemen, was very cool. He didn't have to acknowledge us, but he did. If most players only knew how little things like that make someone feel very special. Well, we'll see everyone at the banquet on Saturday!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
