Siggy on TV

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Channel 13 had a brief interview with Jonathan on the 6:00 news/sports segment. Probably will repeat at 11. Sorry, forgot to post it earlier.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

This is your most vague post ever, FF. Please, for those of us in the middle of the desert:

WHAT DID HE SAY?!?!?!

:D
From the halls of ivy...

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

Let me guess:

"I'm just thrilled to have been drafted. The (insert team) is a great franchise with such a storied past. I hope that after I'm done with college I can come back and make an impact on the team."

Am I close?

That was pretty close! He said he was thrilled to be drafted by a team that he has always liked and the fact that his brother was also drafted by him made it even more special....or something like that. I didn't watch at 11 and Bleeding Orange, you are trying to make me remember a quote from many HOURS ago!!! The one thing I do remember is that they interviewed him in the Alumni Lounge right in front of the NHL plaque that centers the tons of pictures of former Falcons who played in the NHL. That was neat. The interview was very short, but it was nice to see him get some tv face time!!!

And btw, BO, I wasn't trying to be vague, just trying to alert anyone who wanted to watch it! Maybe you should get a satellite dish to pick up Toledo area TV sports coverage, as I am SURE there will be a LOT of coverage of Falcon Hockey (and Football, of course) as they march up to the top of the standings in the CCHA this year!!!!

I have DirecTV at my house, but seeing as how I'm moving in to my appartment in BG in 2 weeks, Time Warner will have to do.

Which of course means there's a decent chance he could end up playing with his brother again. :D
