Roster and looking for a practice update

Post by FlagCityFalcon »

If you wanna see something cool, take a look at the roster...for the first tiem in a LONG time, it's full and complete! We carry 28 guys (and I'm sure there are a few others around that are not on the roster).

More importantly, who's going to wear the C this year? FF, any report on when the Captains will be announced? I haven't missed it yet, have I? Who's running the ice "practices"?

Can we get another update on the practices? Are any of the new guys running around?
"Eyeball to eyeball, I said, 'Dr. Cartwright, don't put me in this position if you plan on dropping hockey. That won't happen as long as I'm alive. I'll fight that to my grave." - Jack Vivian

We will be a power again!

Go Falcons!

As far as I know Captains have not been named yet, though wouldn't be surprised to see that happen in the near future. "Practices," if you want to call them that, were more like shinny games. It was just guys in dark jerseys playing guys in light jerseys, with the 3 goalies rotating ice time. All of the new guys have been here during the summer at one time or another, most of them for a few weeks at a time. Since graduation was Saturday, I imagine a few of them left town to go home for a short stay before classes begin on August 23rd. No varsity ice times are schedule for this week and probably not until they return to campus.

DROP THE PUCK!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

For one it's been confirmed on the recruiting board that McIlrath has been moved to next year's recruiting class. His knee wasn't healing quickly enough so this will give it a chance to heal and he can get some more experience at the juniors level.
