The Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks are trying to get their first win in the CCHA and so are the Falcons. How do they match up?
If you're ridin' ahead of the herd, take a look back now and then to make sure it's still there.

Mavericks have tough forwards, but unproven goaltender
I think BG matches up pretty well with these guys. UNO does have Scott Parse, Bill Thomas and Bryan Marshall who are some of the best forwards in the league, but Chris Holt left a gap in net for them which they may have a problem filling. They looked good in the Maverick Stampede against UNH, but got swept by Miami at home to open up league play.
This seems to be one of the teams BG always plays good against and I think its time that we see the upperclassmen who have been pretty quiet so far this season other than Mike Falk step up and get some goals. If we can get production from guys like Pilkington, Meloche, Dobek and especially Unger...these guys will be a dangerous team. Matsumoto and Foster and Falk can only carry these guys so far...so we need those guys to step it up and I think they will starting this weekend. GO BG!!!!
