NMU on the board early.

Spratt is definitely not this bad...NMU 5-1

In my opinion he is being put under a great deal of pressure to perform. Instead of playing Horrell until shuch time as Spratt is confident, he has been tossed in the deep end.
More than that with every game Spratt digs a deeper hole for himself. Tonight it's offence (to some degree), defense and goaltending that is in trouble. Is coach building for NEXT year?

We arent going to get anywhere near that. In the 4 games Ive been to so far this season, we've been blown out in 3 of them. We just look to be getting manhandled, with most of our even-strength time being spent defending our own zone. We can't set up any sort of attack at all.

Actually, it was just the people on here that predicted top 4. The coaches and media said 8th. Officially, the standings say we are DEAD LAST right now. Two of the teams we are tied with have only played 5 league games. The other team we are tied with has played one less game than us. We're using a backhoe to dig ourselves into a hole.

Tonight's game was absolutely horrible. If we'd actually played the first and second periods, we might've had a chance. There was no hustle from anyone until the last 10 minutes of the game. I really didn't like the idea of Matsumoto, Falk, and Foster being put back on the same line for the entire game. When they were seperated we scored a lot of goals. Now, they are being shut down together and nobody's scoring. It's actually easier to defend against a team that has their three top scorers on the ice at once.

Spratt is getting better. Everybody was a little off tonight, but he had a solid game. He didn't have a chance on most of the goals. The two in the second period, the first was tipped in by Nesdill, the second was a wide-open NMU player at the edge of the crease to tip in a centering pass. Nobody even hit him on the way to the net.

The linesmen were horrenduos as well. If they'd just drop the damn puck like they're supposed to, the game wouldn't have went an extra 15 minutes. I'm thinking that's what the ref was talking to the captains before the third about. I did notice that Vargas only did 1 or 2 faceoffs in the third, while he did most of them through the first 2. The players were jumping because he wouldn't drop the puck with a smooth motion, he hesitated after he put his hand out and the players reacted, the he'd toss them and everybody would start yelling.

AGREED! We were getting so ticked off at the stupid linesmen! Apparently we were all there to watch them and not the game. Idiots. How hard is it to drop the damn puck? And the Ref McInchak was an idiot too. That diving call on Matsumoto was just wrong. The one who should have been called for diving was the NMU player who stayed down on the ice from a clean check, trying to draw a penalty (in the 2nd), then realized he didn't get it, so suddenly got up and went right back into the play....CCHA refereeing.....THREE BLIND MICE!!!

GO ICERS!!
BEAT NMU!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Dead last tied with 3 other teams and only 2 points away from 4th place. but anyway, had the misfortune of having to listen to the classless idiots broadcasting for NMU, almost made me ill, Called Pilkington a house player, the ultimate insult, and thought it was funny. My point though is they said that last night's game was the best game they have even seen NMU play.
