I should've mentioned it but I meant the townies and people who basically live inside BG. Yeah, people who live 30mins, 1hr, 2hrs I wouldn't expect to be makin that trip. Unless BG's road crews wern't out , I would've thought the streets in BG to be fairly passable.goofyeuph wrote:Someone remind me mess the !@#$!!! out of Falconboy next time I see him. I had 14" with drifts easily over 3 feet. I'm Goofy, I'm not stupid. Most people around here know there isn't much I love more than hockey, but my little gerbil mobile would not have made it BG this weekend.Falconboy wrote:Attendance numbers like that make me question just how many hardcore BG hockey fans there are.

I thought it was a good crowd considering a Game 3 isn't set in stone on Friday. For us students who came to all 3 games, we should get a pat on the back. I cut my break short to get back in BG on Friday for the weekend and I'm glad I did. I think next time the athletic department needs to do a better job at getting the word out about these games. People show up for Michigan, Michigan State, Miami and Notre Dame, those games are packed so it's not out of the realm of possibility that the department can encourage those crowds for playoff games. Obviously, students on break hurt as well.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.

Damn Straight with out the support of the students and student like you who choose to support their athletic teams, no team has much of chance. i hope that quality of play and character of this team will pull more student to the arena next year and the year after as Falcon hockey reclaims its lofty position in the CCHA.jpfalcon09 wrote:I thought it was a good crowd considering a Game 3 isn't set in stone on Friday. I was upset that it did not work for us to make all the games, but that is how it goes some times, we bought tickets, but its asses in seats and support bellowing from those seats that really matter. the team was a bit off beat, but they got it done on home ice, now its time to not worry about a thing, have fun and let it all hang out against the Redskins.
