On the other hand we need honesty; you can not say that they have only sold 200 season tickets. Since the applications for season tickets will not go out for another 5 or 6 months; I'd like to know who are the 200?
Any comment about the hockey alumni not contributing is fallacious. They have given to the Alumni lounge. Earlier this year they were asked to contribute $ 4 million to the arena. They were willing to go forward, until they looked at the construction plans, they felt that they would only get a scoreboard for their money. They have been lied to. They will not contribute unless there are guarantees. They will want in writting where the money goes and that the program / arena will not be cancelled in 10 years. They will give, we will give.
Remeber hockey alumni and fans will be here for many more years than Cartwright, Stoll or Christopher.
