Unbelievable.....one of the sickest shootouts I have ever seen. Huge win for the team tonight....Hope this carries into tomorrow night.

One thing I have to put negative though is the lack of ability to finish the game in regulation. Up 4-2 in the 3rd period theres no reason we should have had to go to a shootout

another shoot out, I agree we need to take care of busness in regulation, but its great for the team. Lets come out tomorrow night and get it done in 3

Ok, can someone please explain to me what the game misconduct penalties were about? On both plays I saw nothing that I would have looked twice at, only to see 5 minute majors going up on the board and very pissed off players skating to the locker room.

I didn't get a good look at Dee's penalty, but any check from behind into the boards/net is supposed to be an automatic 5 minute major and game misconduct (or disqualification). The WMU player would have only gotten 2 if Dee hadn't already been given a 5 (of course, jumping on Jordan's back after the hit didn't help his case either). I was honestly surprised to see both calls made. Most refs don't have the things between their legs to make those calls or call 2 minutes for boarding. I was also very surprised to see the Penalty Shot called.

We need to learn how to play with a lead. Both teams were kinda playing like the game was pretty much over with 10 minutes to play. This is the second game in a row that we've lost a 2 goal lead in the 3rd, and had to settle for a tie (I refuse to acknowledge shootouts and think they should go the way of Kent State, UIC, and Findlay Hockey....but that was a sick shot by Solway)

The first game misconduct on Dee was a horrendous call.... barely a 2 minute minor, and the WMU misconduct was a makeup call. There was barely any check from behind. It was more of a holding penalty, if anything.

Pictures to come tomorrow.

The game was ridiculous. It was really exciting though....except when we lost the lead with around 3 seconds to go. I remember the student section counting down. I went nuts when they tied it.

Solway's goal was beyond fantastic.

Here's all I'm really willing to say about the game misconducts tonight:

Neither was really deserved but I understand the official's need to remind the players that this wasn't a case where they'd get a free pass. We've had some choppy times with the Broncs and you hit a point where you need to show you're not going to take that kind of effort. But, both misconducts were suspect at best.. The good news is both players will see the ice for Saturday's showdown.

Not being there, I will believe the concescous, but you want to suspect calls, watch the BCSN replay of the St FRancis Northview game...Horrible refs, they killed the game.
I guess the next one to watch will be when they are allowed to play with out pohantom trips and hooks.
bad refs can ruin this game so fast, it makes your head spin

1-1 After 20 minutes. Cherry popper for McIntosh on a great effort.

Here's a couple great shots from toddpav from the first period:
