Puckhead, I couldn't agree with you more. Marketing and scheduling seems to be the running complaint in just about every other feed/post. The schedule clearly does not support a rebuilding hockey program in regards to gaining fan attendance at home games. I have heard in recent reports that marketing is starting to try more with hockey, but some notes on their webpage page within the schedule and a quick flier on facebook aren't going to get the job done, but at least its a start I guess.

The only thing that I have been impressed with this season has been the improvements in the arena. And in a reply to one of my posts it was mentioned that the coaches had to push for those changes and guided most of what took place in that arena in regards to murals etc. Its great to see the history of BG hockey on display.

Lastly, the Miami game, I hope we can keep our heads up and just play some good hockey tonight. Just looking at the stats online it doesn't look like it was all that terrible, but 4 goals for them and none for us is not the type of score that any of us want to see. We seem to be a better team now than when we shocked the #1 Miami teams years ago by beating them.

Go Falcon Hockey!!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Last night's game was a reminder of how far this program still has to go. Its great beating the UConn's and Canisius's of the hockey world, but if we can't compete with fellow CCHA members, there is still much work to be done.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
