It really doesn't make much sense for students to sit in Section A. The opposing goalie is always down towards the student section the 1st and 3rd periods. The best opportunity to mess with the other teams goalie is when you set as close to him as possible. From my understanding, the reason Section A was so popular is because the goalie used to be at the opposite end for two of the periods, so they sat in Section A to get as close as possible to the opposing goalie. I'm just pumped to hear this tradition could be returning. I told everyone that our students still had good spirit and tradition, know we are going to show it off this weekend.

It would be great if we could get enough students to the games to fill section E and everywhere behind the net. If only...

The Saturday game against Union was a bust, but the Friday night crowd was fantastic. We did have a lot of students go and sit in Section E. I'm not going to say that we filled it, but considering the student count was around 800, thats pretty damn good to me. Wait until this weekend, we will have those high numbers again.

Students used to sit in Sectiona A, H, and E. The cross-ice yelling could make your ears bleed. Didn't matter where a player was on the ice, they had students in their ear/head. Cheering on your team isn't just about yelling at the opposing team's goalie.

You are 100% correct!!! So much fun to get in the opposing team's head!!! And it's not that difficult to do. One or two players will do something that stands out. Just start picking on that guy by calling his name over and over!! Anyone remember us yelling: "Traaaacccyyyyyyy!!"?

Two more days until game time! I can't wait to see how many pack into the arena this weekend to see the Falcons beat OSU. I hope everyone is getting a ticket to go because it is going to be a great weekend of hockey for the Falcons.
