Portable bleachers would be amazing. I would really hate to sit so far away and not see anything.

There won't be bleachers. Here's what RIT v. Niagara looked like in Rochester in December. Same set up, rink running from first to third.

I agree. The thought I had was put a rink in downtown BG (possibly the old JH site) during the winter fest in BG with nice rented bleachers constructed around the rink. Financially it probably is impossible but this is the only way a decent crowd with an acceptable atmosphere will ever be achieved.pdt1081 wrote:For me, the only way to make this enjoyable for fans like me would be to bring in portable bleachers and put them on one side of the ice.

A rink in front of one of the grandstands at the fairgrounds would make more sense than putting a rink in a baseball or football stadium.

Someone else footing the bill for an outdoor game was the only way this was ever going to happen.
Yes, the views will be bad for 60-70% of the seats at the game. But this isn't a game at the IA. It's a baseball field. If you want the atmosphere/closeness of the IA then you might want to skip this one. But, if you want to enjoy a cool event that's more spectacle than game then you should go.

should be fun for the team, but for the rest of us...meh.
if it was against Miami or OSU, might have a chance of respectable attendance. but against RMU, during break? plenty of seats available, lol.
at least we're playing both Miami and OSU next year. more excited about that.

Hopefully we can host Miami and OSU for weekend games. Week night hockey is almost as dumb as week night football. At least with hockey there's a chance that you are still playing someone else on the weekends on either side of the week day game.
