Or we can give up a 3 on 1 chance on the Power Play and give up a shorty.

Hilarious isn't a word I would use. Sad is more like it. Pathetic that a top 5 goaltender (nationally by statistics) can't stop a breakaway. Sad that a point guy on the powerplay just turns the puck over, whether by a soft shot or just can't handle the puck. Minnesota State isn't that good. This team is taking a big ole smelly dump on what could have been a great season.

Utter disappointment in which team showed up.

Down 5 - 1

Given up 2 Shorties and another 1 on a PP.......................waste of $9 bucks tonight.

Win tomorrow and and still only two points out. Maybe MSU has a couple ties or drops a game to who ever and we can sneak in the back way. Its not happening head to head.

Between the season tickets and wcha.tv season pass I'm beginning to wonder if it was a waste of $300 this season. It's one thing if it at least looks like the team is giving their best effort every game. This team seems to be trying to half-ass their way through the second half of the season. No effort, uninspired hockey just going through the motions to get to the end of the season.

We must have a bunch of fair weather fans in BG.

I'll tell you I'm not giving up on this team. A win tomorrow and still only two points out of first. Glad to see many of you throwing in the towel. Go and cheer on the basketball team and gymnastics, but I'm behind this team. Only one loss and ugly as it may be a win tomorrow and BGs still only 2 points out of first with three weekends to play.

I am not giving up. I have been through 21 years of BG hockey, and I look forward to the games every week, so I am just majorly disappointed it wasn't closer. I feel like we have been overrated most of this year because we haven't played a lot of good hockey teams, and when we play good ones we just do not get results.

I'll be at the rest of the home games, and watch the road games. Will probably be in Grand Rapids IF they make it that far. Just absolutely frustrated with the effort shown in the last 3 games. A tie and two losses as a result of no effort being put forth on the ice. This team is capable of so much more than the results they have earned. And that's what it is, what they've earned. With as bad as the WCHA is, they should be firmly in first place. Instead, they are lucky to be in second, and need Minnesota State to slip while they have to be absolutely perfect through the end of the year.

Not suprised to see the team struggle...our schedule last year and the first half of this was as friendly as it gets. This is what happens when you play solid teams 4 and 5 games in a row. We were overrated last year and certainly at Christmas time this year. Need that series with Huntsville to get here quick.

Ouch.
I don't know where you'd find these stats, but we've got to be among nation's leaders in:
SHGs allowed
Penalties for too many players on ice
Du hockey comme dans le temps!

According to College Hockey Stats, we've allowed three short handed goals and have had four bench minors this year, which are typically too many men penalties. Hardly out of the ordinary and maybe more likely in the top half as far as fewest of both of those. The problem is everyone remembers when they both happen and so it feels like a lot more.

1) Realistic Goals for this team is remain in the top three of the conference.
2) Get to the Final Five (actually four) - that's another issue
3) Get one more W then last years total.

I'd consider that progress.

If BG doesn't keep their on the ball (puck), a slip up or two along the way to the finish line Ferris is right in the rear view mirror. Finishing 4th would be a step backwards.
