Only if the score was up by 10, then only to give a back up goalie some PT. I remember the crowd yelling "We want PIWKO!!" Or "We want NOEL!!" (Crawford, from BG, btw). I think the coaches just caved in to the chanting and finally put the 2nd or 3rd goalie in. The crowd always went nuts when that happened.
And btw, was that a SLAM on my age???? Geez, just because I remember watching Brian Stankiewicz and Wally Charko play..... 8)
Don't feel so old, FF. I remember Mike Liut coming in to 'relieve' Al Sarachman once. It was rather disconcerting.

BGBill probably remembers it.
Thanks for the kind words!! Fortunately for me...I don't act my age!! (Even though I feel it many mornings!! )
It's so great to have all this chatter on the hockey board again!!! I am truly excited to see the interest and participation increase as the Paluch years go on!!!! Things are only going to get better and better!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp
