I'd almost wager money that you won't be anywhere near Lawson tomorrow.

Did Mike McKee see much ice for WMU? He's an intriguing d prospect the Wings have stashed in the zoo (because rumor has it he's a shaved gorilla) the past few years.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I was glad to see good pressure (relentlessness) in the first period, and I thought they looked pretty good over all. Teams that adjust to the tighter penalty-calling sooner than other teams will have a huge advantage, if they can score on the PP.

What the heck was Andy Murray complaining about last night? I believe WMU had just scored on a delayed penalty and he held forth on something with the refs for several minutes.

Consistent calling of penalties from the beginning of the game till the end will make that adjustment a lot easier on teams.

Wh(ine)y Western. Their players had a lot of conversations with the officials as well. Which is funny because of the amount of interference Western ran on faceoffs.

Down 3-1 after 1st period. 3 goals on 8 shots. Not good.

I think the problem is that Moosbrugger hasn't signed Bergeron to an extension yet. Rookie AD mistake, he doesn't realize Bergeron deserves a 2-3 year extension and raise every year.

It does tend to filter out some nasty background noise, doesn't it?
