There is a well of untapped potential in the southern states which often go unrecruited. We could run the size game with the oversized talent that the southern states have to offer. They may be a bit behind on speed but that's nothing the great Bergeron can't fix. We might have to bring in another coach to run this new southern strategy, I believe Les Miles is still on the market? He may be a bit above our pay grade but I'm sure we can find some extra money in the budget if we fire the Zamboni driver, I don't think anyone would miss that guy anyways.
Ignoring most of this jibberish, the guy may have a point. Austin Matthews (1st overall pick in NHL last year) is from glendale az, Shane Gostisberhre is from florida, keith tkachuks son, matt tkachuk, is playing for the calgary flames and was a 1st round pick and from AZ... im just saying i bet there is a lot of hidden talent in states such as florida, georgia, arizona (gotta battle with ASU then), etc.
Does anyone know if teams are starting to scout the south more or if bg has anyone already doing this?

Was our last player from the south was Carpenter?. He turned out pretty well, not sure if it has been a focus or not.

Those elite players don't stay close to home for Junior hockey.
