Suck
Re: @Huntsville
And BG loses. Well I can stop crunching numbers now. There went are very slim chance of at large bid. We may be facing this same AH team next weekend.
Re: @Huntsville
No emotion whatsoever tonight. Wouldn't be surprised if we lose tomorrow as well. At least they can stop worrying about the at-large bid. They know what they need to do now.

You should know better than to make a post like this during a game.kdog27 wrote:6th time here, never seen us lose...

Re: @Huntsville
They looked like the inferior team and deserved to lose
Re: @Huntsville
No emotion? Hard to tell from the video feed, but they controlled a majority of the game. I don't know for sure what happened on D'Andrea's penalty that was different from their 5 minute major, but one got a game misconduct and the other was allowed to finish the game, scoring the game winning goal.gmartin wrote:No emotion whatsoever tonight. Re: @Huntsville
Got outplayed from my vantage point. Very few quality looks to score.
Re: @Huntsville
1st and 3rd period we were outplayed.
Re: @Huntsville
It was a disappointing effort. We're clearly faster, more athletic, and all-around better than them, but they played harder and cared more. For the most part, we outplayed them - yes. However, they just flat out wanted it more.
We need to get back to playing gritty, tough, Bowling Green hockey. No more entitled nonsense. We haven't earned anything yet.
We'll get it turned around tomorrow afternoon.

Re: @Huntsville
From how I understand it, our opponent for the playoffs tonight depends on a few scenarios, which don't involve the NMU-Tech or MSU-Bemidji games at all.
We will play Ferris if...
They win, we win.
We will play Fairbanks if...
We win, they win, Ferris gets 2 points or less.
We will play UAH if...
They win OR Ferris gets less than 2 points AND Fairbanks gets less than 3 points.
I'm not great at this, so I could have totally screwed this up, but this is what I'm going to assume is right until I get called out for being wrong. Haha

Above is a link to the actual scenarios, according the league office. There was more to it than I thought. Haha

Re: @Huntsville
For some reason it won't allow me to pull up the link. But what happens if we win, Alaska wins, and Ferris wins in a shootout. All three of those teams will end with 33 points.
Re: @Huntsville
In that scenario, the seeding is:gmartin wrote:For some reason it won't allow me to pull up the link. But what happens if we win, Alaska wins, and Ferris wins in a shootout. All three of those teams will end with 33 points.
6. Alaska
7. UAH
8. Ferris

Re: @Huntsville
I think that would go to the "E" tiebreaker. UAF is the only team that beat MSU so they'd be 6th. UAH beat NMU a couple of times while FSU lost both games against the Wildcats. So the seeding would then read:gmartin wrote:For some reason it won't allow me to pull up the link. But what happens if we win, Alaska wins, and Ferris wins in a shootout. 6) UAF
7) UAH
8) FSU

Re: @Huntsville
Who is our ideal first round opponent? I think hosting Ferris would be a lot of fun.
I think worst case scenario would be hosting Fairbanks. They're just gritty, and I feel like they could push us to three if we're not careful.
