50+ shots on goal from outside the faceoff dots. Impressive in number only. Where did Huntsville score their goals from? Top of the crease. Those long shots with no traffic makes games tolerable for goaltenders.
BG leads 1-0 after the first. Craggs was called for a penalty right at the end of the period, and he’s been ejected, so we’ll be on the kill for 5 to start the 2nd period.

Here is how bad bad-losses have hurt us in the pairwise.
Change three bad results in the pairwise.
RIT OT Loss
Miami Loss
Alabama Tie
Those three games end up W's. We are 13th in the pairwise and looking at getting in back-back years. I always like going in to play the what "if" on the pairwise chart. Those three we should have had but consistency or not showing up ready to play those nights may have cost us not only home ice but an NCAA bid.
We did just about everything we could do down the stretch to secure home ice and we ended up dropping a tiebreaker that has nothing to do with head to head. It sucks, but whatever. We’re going to go on the road and fight our way through it.
We’re riding an 8-game unbeaten streak. Time to extend it.

We got 21 of a possible 24 points in the last 4 series. We can’t act like we’ve been terrible this last month. We just dug a hole a little bit too deep.
I have all the confidence in the world that we’re going to go on the road and win this series.

Both games at Fairbanks were 2-0 at the end of the first period, with the second behind 3-0 halfway through the second period. Finishing off one of those games would have given the extra point needed. Now, they get to make their 3rd trip to Alaska for the season.
