The charging major was borderline. Pitters left his feet and had no intention of making a hockey play, but the Tech player definitely sold it.

I just wanna win, man. 2-7-0 is an embarrassing record. That’s not what this program is supposed to be.

We have to win tomorrow night. Absolutely have to.

By their definition, it's a major because he didn't play the puck. Every single player who "finishes their check" is guilty of said major.

The explanation was BS and was subjective. By the official's definition on the call Pitters should have been thrown out of the game for intent to injure.

Team is making critical errors at terrible times during games. Tonight alone, Lellig squashes the good start they had. The Pitters major ended up being a wash with the shorty but it was still ill-timed. Then on the GWG the Tech player could have set out a lawn chair and chilled given how open he was.

It's all unacceptable and a lot of it is carry over from last season.

...
No, but I was glad the question was asked. My reaction to the answer was similar to yours. Happily, the guys showed a lot more energy Friday.

GAME 2:

BG battled hard on the PK, but never quite got back in position and it leads to a Tech goal. MTU is carrying playing so far here, but it’s been a pretty wide open game both ways.

1-0, 4:41 to play in the first.

BG ties the game on the PP like 2 minutes later.

And then BG scores immediately again, 11 seconds later. That one was Pitters.

Falcons now lead 2-1.

Up 2-1. The Slate is electric. Then we take a dumb 5 min major (same as last night) and lose all that momentum.

And Pitters is sent to the box for charging. It seemed kinda soft to me, and it was retaliation because our center had gotten his head shoved down a second before. It was a little high, but it wasn’t overly malicious. But they are reviewing it for a major…

And once again, there’s another major. 3rd on BG in 2 nights.

Have we ever had a review go our way? Like in program history? Because it feels like we haven’t.

BG gets a 4x4 goal early in the second period. A beauty from Swankler.

Falcons lead 3-1 very early in this middle frame.

And another goal. They’re saying Vinnell on the broadcast, but I thought Burke tipped it.

Regardless, BG up 4-1 and we’ve chased Pietila from the game. Great stuff.
