I'd like to see Barber get some scratch time.

Get ready to be on the road for the playoffs, I guess. What a pathetic performance.

And then Ty challenges for no reason, loses, and costs himself a timeout.

Good stuff, guys.
It was very close to being too many men for Ferris. Was a different team after they. Ty also called the penalty on Ferris right after as well. None of the officials even acted interested in counting the Ferris players until Ty got red-faced mad.

Stoever had a conversation with the ref after their first goal. Basically asked how the guy was able to hit him in the face with his ass on the initial shot without getting called.

Tech got 3 points with a win over Bemidji.

Mankato only got 1 point against St. Thomas, losing in OT.

LSSU beat NMU to take 3 points.

And Ferris took 3 from us.

Standings on Saturday morning:

1. Mankato - 42
2. Tech - 41
3. BG - 37
4. Bemidji - 31
5. Ferris - 28
6. St. Thomas - 23
7. NMU - 21
8. LSSU - 17

Possibly the worst performance of the year against a team we should easily handle. 1st and 2nd periods periods were easily some of worst. No effort, neutral zone turnovers, bad passes is how you hand a victory to a team that has trouble scoring. Really don’t understand why Ty doesn’t turn the page and move the soph and freshman lines up and move the seniors down.

Planning for a 1st round playoff road trip.

We have squandered away so many opportunities over the past few weekends. Makes me sick to think about it. But then I realize champion teams have that killer instinct that we sorely lack.

You mean you shouldn't throw your "0-for" center on the ice for every critical faceoff? I don't think he won a single faceoff all night.

All the pieces fell into place last night to where we could have made up ground from laps in St. Thomas. Nope, hell no, we couldn't capitalize and understand the urgency of February Hockey.

Loose tonight and we are potentially looking at Ferris catching us, I see no reason why that isn't possible. This team has all the tools and pieces to win, but there is ABSOLUTELY no direction. When the pieces line up we are pretty good, when they don't we suck something fierce. End result, we are about a 500 team......sad.

Only three more weekends (unless we actually win a series in the tournament) with Barber wearing the C. Embarrassment.

Barber demoted to the third line (Fyten takes his spot). Daugherty now on the fourth line replacing Emerson who is a scratch. Will this light a fire? We’ll see.

Eigner is 0/2 on challenges this weekend. That’s rough.

Ferris takes the extra point in the shootout.

14-14-2. Gonna get swept at Tech next weekend. Seems like we’re going to end with a losing season for the 2nd year in a row. What a time to be alive.
