I'll stick with the negative vibe and say a split will be the final outcome. Honestly though that was overall one of the better played games of the season.

Definitely expecting to lose on Saturday night. No way this team puts together 2 in a row on the road…

As well as we played, on the other side Tech played like crap. I doubt they do that again. They’ll be flying the first period tomorrow.

With that said, the “F OHIO!” chant doesn’t have the intended impact when you’re down four goals.

You would have to be more specific.

That win effectively clinches home ice for us. I don't think both Bemidji and Ferris would catch us, especially since they have to play each other Saturday and Bemidji plays Mankato next week.

I understand. But it’s frustrating to drop one to St. Thomas and 2 to Ferris at home then go into the most difficult venue in the CCHA and smoke a ranked team. We all want the same thing.

Talking about coaching changes and the constant whining and complaining is very old. I stopped reading the football and men's basketball threads for that very reason. Ty is not going anywhere. Bergeron is not coming back. Miami fans would love to see him go. Until last weekend, Miami had been outscored 32-3 since the new year. Remember that Ty was Bergeron's top recruiter.

Has the team been frustrating at times. Yes, most teams are. List to Tech's coach at his post game press conference.

I definitely understand the point you’re making, HJ. Hard for me to keep my frustration in check sometimes because I just care so much about this program. But we’ve gotta be better and more supportive, even when the times get tough. These players put it all on the line for us - they deserve our backing. Appreciate the perspective.

Let’s get this sweep tonight!

But McInchak is on the ice again tonight. He will take that as a challenge.

Yeah true…BG’s “revenue sports” are killing it. Some people on this board have ridiculous expectations. I think one conference championship in 35 years for hockey is perfectly acceptable. Especially the last decade where BG has top 2 resources in comparison to the rest of the conference.

Shoot… if this dream season continues and Eigner can somehow get home ice, I’d extend him 5, maybe 6 years, and give him at least a 100K raise.

Good call HJ…definitely some sound HJ reasoning is needed on this board.

This program has woefully underperformed the last three years. The criticism is warranted. Doesn't mean you also can't be supportive. The two can coexist. Maybe this is the year it all comes together for a playoff run?

See that was positive...

Game on. Winter Carnival thing (whatever that means) is up for grabs. A rare diamond cutter in Houghton is on the line. Tech is going to come out flying and will try to punch us in the mouth early. We need to be ready.
