Aside from the last two minutes of the second, we’ve outplayed them 5x5. Our worst period is now behind us. Gut check time.

We didn’t light the world on fire with our play in the third. Now on to OT. Hmmmm.

If you have the puck, you shouldn't have your head down coming across center ice.
You would think there should be some onus on the player to protect himself. Same thing about those hits when they turn at the last second and they get hit from behind into the boards and they give a penalty.

Not a good third or OT. Blech. Not feeling great about tomorrow.

Playing a man down wore them down. Probably gonna need to get Blake in the lineup. That hit was pretty vicious to the noggin tonight

Gus should have known better. That dude should have never come across the middle with his head down. Two things can be true at the same time.
That hit was as much that player skating into him as it was him throwing a check. Arm tucked, no extension/follow through, even lowered himself down when he realized the guy had his head so far in front of his skates. Guys he should have just stood there and baseball bat swung his stick at his head. That would've only been 2 minutes.

Lost Game 1 in OT, 3-2.

Happy to at least get a point. Would really like to snag all 3 tonight to keep pace in the race for home ice. Have to keep reminding myself that we have games in hand on the teams we’re close to, but still. It’s imperative with how competitive the CCHA is this year that we at least get home ice in the first round - and that’s no guarantee right now.

4 or 5 place it is.

Looks like we're either going to Mankato or hosting them. No how we envisioned the season.

We can debate the hitting until the moon turns red -- but the bottom line is that BG needs to play smarter. That hit possibly cost them a win AND they're without a player for the game tonight.

Like I said: be smarter.

Yikes. That was a brutal hit from each angle. I take back my previous, "keep your head up comment."
