Yes, Jimmy struggled, but for him to have even been there in the first place, for me, speaks volumes about him.
If he is truly that good, we could be pleasantly suprised with how this season ends up...
I really think Spratt would have been better off playing Friday night instead of Saturday. The last two goals he allowed should have been stopped. Over the right shoulder then over the left shoulder. NO traffic in front of him either time. By the time he even turned his head to follow the puck it was behind him. He'll get there eventually. He just needs some more time.
That is my feeling too. He got an unhappy welcome to D-1 hockey and it's game speed. That is part of the learning curve that he is going through. He will get there. There is a reason the coaches recruited him so highly and I am sure we will see it very soon!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp

I just hope a bad outing doesn't hurt his confidence for the future.
