Read the other game threads, he was a healthy scratch...disciplinary reasons and he won't be dressed tomorrow either, out for the weekend series.

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP 'EM!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

So we've just beaten the #11 (St. Lawrence), #12 (Colgate) and #16 (Ohio St.) teams in the nation. This is something to be proud of. Hell of a job tonight Falcons! Finish it off now.

Laugh about the hockey cheerleaders all you want brother -- BG had them for a few of its early hockey years and then thought better of it.

I believe the game tonight is on FSN Ohio, for those of us who cannot make the game in person. Go Falcons

After checking the CCHA website, it says the game will be televised on FSN Detroit. Looks like I will be at the "local watering hole", with my diet pepsi, watching the Falcons sweeeeeeeep the Sucks!!!! Can't wait.

But the latter part of that sentence is the key... the powers that be knew the error of their ways and (quite sensibly) ditched the broads in skirts.

We had this discussion in Minnesota last weekend and although the guys all liked looking at the Gophersluts, er! I mean cheerleaders, they did agree with my assessment: cheerleaders belong in football, NOT in hockey.

I will say this for the Gopher cheerleaders though: at least they can skate (unlike the stupid cheerleaders at other schools and a certain NHL team that shall remain nameless).

In the 3rd period they cranked one off the cross bar. PING!
The one you commented on made no noise.
That had to have hit the padding in the back and come out.
That was a goal!
I want to see the replay of that. Funny they did not show that on the Jumbotron. I'm surprized that they showed the puck being kicked in.

Yes, that was a goal!

Shades of MSU, was that '83 ?
Skate fast
Hit hard
Have fun

FALCONS ON TV

Post by cbjhack »

I heard from someone last night that the game on FSN tonight is actually a REPLAY of last nights game. Any truth to that?

I was at last nights game and the Falcons played a whale of a game. I agree with others comments about Markel. He skates on Mondays and sometimes at the rink I work at in Columbus (Chiller North). He is a bit pretentious. But I do find it a bit interesting that two key players involved in hockey in C-bus are BG grads. Markel with the Buckeyes, and Don Boyd, Director of Player Personnel with the Blue Jackets. You can diss Markel all you want, but he has brought winning to the Bucks. I do agree with the sentiment about the Schott. There were 7500 there last night and you could hear a pin drop (except when BG fans cheered). When the Ice Arena has 2500 it is MUCH LOUDER.

One final thought, it is finally great to see the Falcons on a streak and trying to make something of this season. It seems that Scott has a way with getting his players to show up after slow starts. Can't be said for all teams (just see the Blue Jackets).

Go Falcons!
