I would seriously suggest Tech, if Nicholas hasn't had a pita from Pita Pit, to take him there. I'm assuming y'all have to been to Bagel and Deli, and that he has been to Shriver, to Tuffy's and had a Toasted Roll.
If you want a good place to drink, try some of the uptown bars, but watch out... they may have quite a few students in them. Brickstreet, Main Street Bar&Grill, 45East... there are a few others. Also the Chinese place uptown by the Princess Theater is pretty darn good too.
As I said before, I'd suggest getting there VERY early... All indications I have from my friends, says that the students will prolly start lining up 1-2 hours before the game starts.

Where was it located in town? I can probably tell you the name, although there have been lots of name changes to the resturants in Oxford - same locations, new names.
There use to be a Bash Riprock's - that was a fun place and not to expensive. But Ozzie's was my favorite.
My two personal favorites are Mac N Joes and Steinkeller.
Mac N Joes is the closest thing to a hockey bar as it does has some hockey decorations. Pretty good lineup of draught beers...not stellar, but not crappy either. Food is what you would expect from a dive...good burgers, good chicken dishes and some good hoagies/subs. A laid back atmosphere with the only noise being talk/tv and radio. No jiggly music if you get my drift.
Steinkeller is the Hofbrauhaus (Cincy's) on steroids. One of the best selection of German beers ANYWHERE...Paulaners, Optimator, Maibock, etc, etc, etc. All the real thing. Food is pretty good too...great prezels and cheese, pizzas, schnitzel, brats...lots of German sausages. Once again...no jiggly music.
For very good food - not bar scene...try High Street Bar & Grille and Kona. More expensive, but very good food. I would liken High Street Grille to Easy Street. High Street may be a small step above in the type of food, but very similar.
For other types of stuff...go for Bagel and Deli. I would call it the late night equivalent to Mr Spotts. Always jammed...quick, cheap and phenomenal.
Skippers is a pub type place that has really good burgers, patty melts, and gyros.
Phan Shin is the place MiamiBando is talking about...affectionately known in my circles as Phun s**t. It's so-so IMHO.
If you get there late and don't have time to sit down there is a plethora of sub/sandwhich type joints. Jimmy Johns, Quiznos, Qdoba, I can't even think of them all.
Pizza - Go to Bruno's. Equivalent to Polly Eyes without the incredible stuffed breadsticks. Standard college town pizza.
Mac 'n Joes has been sterilized, but is a good place to get a Bleu Cheese Burger.
45EMain was Attractions. I think what you are calling Main Street was Ozzies (between the two bookstores).
Lottie's is a good place to go. But a a grad student I spent my drinking time at Ozzies downstairs, the CIrcle, or Mac 'n Joes (when I went out drinking with some undergrads).
I keep forgeting about BW3 - because it wasn't there when I was in town. But even Mrs. Tech likes to go to Brunos.
Redhawk4life - are you old enough to know Muther's? It was the place to grab a $1.99 breakfast. Mostly upperclassmen and graduate student were there in the mornings.

No Muthers for me...not on my radar...but I am a big fan of the now extinct Phillips 27.
As for 45 East and Brick Street - I am a big fan of Will, he's a nice guy - but don't go there. It's not small-college experience food. It's like putting BW3 in a college town...oh wait...
