Players are absolutely right on this one

Think about it. There's a time when you skate them hard and there is a time where you give them a light workout. Heavy legs are a poison to good hockey. On the occasions that I've been able to make games, the heavy legs were in evidence.

All Division I hockey players are in decent shape. They would last very long if they weren't. Nobody would put up with them. The extra drills add up and that little edge is all the other team needs to get to those loose pucks. Loose pucks turn into goals.

he was great, he just failed to make the transition to college hockey. the reverse often happens as well and just as often.
you are dealing with 18 teen year olds, who have tons issues from physical ones, to physiological ones and everything in between. Why just take a look at the kicker for the football team. great in HS, and well not so good here and he is leaving...Ill bet pooch is some behind that one

Then there is also a little thing called attitude. some times great young players develop larger than acceptable egos and think all the world should just be given to them because they have accomplished something...like being recruited to play a sport in college. Then it all becomes the coaches fault. wha wha wha cry me a river.

not that, that is case in this particular situation.

Ah the joys of growing pains.
