Assistant Captain Quits…
Falcon Fanatic, I just want to ask you "knowing Richie do you ever think that he is going to say bad things about the team or any aspect" I am not going to get into any details becuase I prommised Richie I wouldn't but one thing is clear, coach wasn't a reason for him to stay. I am going to leave it at that. Please believe me when I say this, I just talked to him for like a 1/2 hour yesterday. Unfortunately or forunately, Richie is not like me, personally I would have told you the real reason I was quiting but that is his choice.
Secondly, He is not out with a wrist injury, he quit. The coach hasn't even told the team members, even though they all know. Its funny why would Paluch say that he had a wrist injury, instead of just telling the truth. Maybe it is because first of all he is gutless, second he knows this will make him look bad so instead of biting the bullet and just announcing it. He is doing like he always does with problems and just tries to avoid them. Man this guy is a coward, just tell the truth, stop lying.

MACMAN
7 of the boys are out, this week.
No were not going compete for any thing this year, so its good to see the team looking the adversary of injury, and youth in face and embracing it. By developing and growing the young players. I am enjoying watching these kids develop and grow. I am excited about the recruits for next year and see this wave of negativity giving way to the return of falcon hockey. This year and last year were just bumps on the road of resurrection.

But Macman I thought they had everything they needed this year. At least that is what you were posting earlier. Just goes to show you that you blow steam, clearly your posts have to be taken with a grain of salt.
ps. macman at least last year we scored goals, 2nd only behind michigan. Hopefully there isn't another shutout this weekend.

We do have every thing need...your gone.
Scoring goals is only 1/4 of the equation. Team cohesiveness, Coaching and net minding are the others. We are developing the O, working the netminding (which I find most troublesome, we have great coaching. We are set.
Fun to watch steel being cut a part steam isnt it.
Where as your just hot air and eventually your sorry balloon will blow away, and lay deflated under the bar stool you preach from.
"I put little faith in this the Nintendo generation. They are not willing to work for anything, just expecting it all to be given to them and God forbid you dont cry great praise when they do the job they were hired to preform."-Jack Welch retired President of General Electric corporation

I'm just glad you decided to show your face around here. Although it is tough to share your enlightenment about how good the team is and how good they are going to be when there are only 2 other teams with a worse record than us right now. I would however, love to live in your reality cause apparently it is nothing but goodness all the time. Get a reality fix please.
I haven't figured it out either you are just plain dumb or..... no you are just plain dumb.

I only posted what Rich asked me to post. I read it to him before I posted it and he said that was what he wanted said on this board. And, I can tell you that we talked about a LOT more than Falcon Hockey.bigdog wrote:Falcon Fanatic, I just want to ask you "knowing Richie do you ever think that he is going to say bad things about the team or any aspect" I am not going to get into any details becuase I prommised Richie I wouldn't but one thing is clear, coach wasn't a reason for him to stay. "Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Man, the tension in this thread is so thick you can cut it with a knife.
I've played the game, my brother played here from 95-2000 and my dad played hockey for 25 years. There is a myriad of things going on right now in the hockey program itself that are just piling on top of itself, making everything seem worse and worse.
My dad said after last year's season that Paluch should have been let go. He felt the talent here has declined since Buddy left, and much like Brandon, Paluch rode the wave of Buddy's good recruits in the Sigalet boys and such guys like Kevin Bieksa, etc. BG is able to pluck maybe one or two good recruits each year in hockey, which compared to the other sports just simply isn't good enough. Recruiting is definitely an issue that needs to be addressed by either the coaching staff or an outside influence. I'd hate to think what this team will look like without Matsumoto.
The thing that I find laughable on here is that there are posts suggesting that the team is not playing strictly because of Paluch. A lot of these kids have the pride in themselves to go out every night and bust ass for their own personal self-satisfaction. I think that BG's hockey team right now is just being out-worked and is suffering from a lack of talent depth compared to the other teams around the league. It gets really frustrating night in and night out when you give up the first goal and have to fight back to win.
Personally, I think that this team is slowly losing the will to play hard every night because of their talent level. Scoring a goal a night just shows how few the chances are that they get to really do anything on offense, it's quite sad.
Being an avid hockey fan, I will still go to the games and support the team, because they represent the student body and play the game that I love so much. I hope that things get turned around really soon with the hockey program, there's just too much tradition and history with the program to let it fall on hard times.
One last thing...as for a lot of the negative posts on here, it's making this part of AZZ almost unbearable to read. We understand that they are problems in the program, but it would be nice to at least do what we can to support the players and coaches as best we can. Whether it's former players ripping on their fellow teammates, or just fans making passing comments, the kids are trying their hardest to play, the least we can do is show that we support them in return and haven't given up on them yet.

The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
You enjoy watching this? Are you some kind of sadist?MACMAN wrote:7 of the boys are out, this week.

I'm not enjoying much of this hockey season. At least last year we were inconsistent, you never knew which team would show up, the good one or the bad one. This year we don't even have a good team to show up. And I never thought I'd say this, but boy do I ever miss Horrel right now. I'll never stop going, but hopefully soon I'll stop pulling my hair out.
Yeah right girl!
