I also watched the game on the allaccess site....bad video....camera guy was brutal....but we won!!!!

First of all a shout out to the power play.....2 power play goals tonight the first on on the 5-3 and then the 5-4....fantastic job tonight outta them.

Defense played unbelievably well and forced michigan to take bad quality shots....very impressed with our freshman d in the lineup tonight....

JST - 3 assists tonights....this guy is on fire putting up points whether its lighting the lamp or helping other guys do so.....Solway with another goal...this guy may also be getting into a groove.

Eno played well...made some fantastic saves.....saw the puck tonight and the two goals he gave up were not extremely well made plays....first one went under his pad.....second one was a deflect off his own man.

Great 60 minutes of hockey tonight...... now lets carry that into the LCA tomorrow night and sweep those S.O.B.'s

I wonder if it's too late to move tomorrow's game to the Ice Arena? Or Indianapolis.
Well being in Indy, I almost said the game would be played at Lucas Oil Stadium instead of Lucas County Arena.
Personally, I wouldn't mind. I know a few people who would attend the game.
Ha! I hadn't even thought of that. Actually, I'm going to be in Evansville tomorrow for the wife's birthday... I'll have to find a way to sneak scores while the she's not looking.

Man....what an exhausting 6 hours...

First, Ann Arbor is a hell hole when it comes to traffic. I got off I-94 and didn't make it to my makeshift parking space until 40 minutes later. I luckily got set up and ready 10 minutes before faceoff. On the way home I got lost when I missed the exit for 23 but found a Timmy Hortons and finally just got home 10 minutes ago.

Ok, enough of my bitching...

- First things first: Greg Christopher needs to call Willy into his office tomorrow morning and have a nice shiny multi-year contract waiting for him. When you consider where this team was against the US National Team and what we've accomplished thus far you need to lock him up before someone else grabs him.
- This senior class is very special. Dee and Solway were absolutely flying around there tonight. I liked Willy's description of Solway as being like a "chihuahua."
- Coach made it a point to mention our fourth line (Vargas, Sinclair, and Finegan) as really impressing him. They got 10-12 shifts in and helped get the top 2 lines some breathers in there at the end.
- I mentioned during the liveblog that the first 5 minutes of the 3rd period would dictate who won the game. I'd say 2 power play goals and another insurance goal at 6 minutes is pretty strong!
- What impressed me the most from the win tonight wasn't just the score, but how those goals were scored. 2/3 on the PP with goals coming on second-chance rebounds.

Thanks again to BG SID Ryan Gasser for getting me a spot tonight. The stress of the drive and the long day was worth it.

Let's get one of these tomorrow!

Just got home from Yost, and still have that giddy-tingly feeling that can only come from beating the weasels on their ice.

We played real well defensively, and most of their shots were not of high quality. They controled the neutral zone, especially thru the second period. We were fortunate to get out of the second period only down 2-1. It was fan-freakin-tastic to feel the energy get sucked out of the building during that couple of minutes in the third period. A steady stream of WalMart Wolverines headed for the exits with about 2 minutes left.

I was EXTREMELY impressed with the way our guys handled themselves down the stretch, and even after the game was over. They didn't have a wild celebration like they had just won a league title...they acted as if they were expecting to win.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEP THE WEASELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Isn't this the 2nd year in a row where we've gone up to Yost and handed scUM their azz? Awesome.

I'm with Drew. Following some of the early games, it looked like we were headed for a LONG year, probably mirroring that of 2006-07 where we only won 5 games all year. That's when I made my ill-fated and stupid post prior to the Nebraska-Omaha series. Give the coaching staff credit, they've done a phenomenal job with the talent they have available and with getting the team physically and mentally prepared to play. I'm not sure you want to give a guy a contract extension this early in the year, but at the same time, I like what's happening.

Now, we need a SWEEP!! BRING IT HOME FALCONS!!

I really enjoyed that. I got to watch the Michigan feed while I was at work tonight and I had to leave with my mom at the start of the third to get some Pita Pit. I got back and it went from 2-1 UM to 4-2 BG. Needless to say, there was a slightly humiliating dance that went along with that.

GREAT JOB, BG! Hopefully we can carry the momentum tomorrow. Can't wait to watch it!

Also, great work having all three stars come from BG.

Man, seriously that was the most ridiculous thing I have ever been through trying to get to the arena. Someone at Michigan needs to tell the CCHA to never schedule them for a home hockey game the night before their football hosts OSU, especially if they have a home hoops game as well. But at the end of the day the final result makes up for the clusterf*ck. LETS GET THE SWEEP TOMORROW!!!!!

Just a thought before I head to the game at Lucas County Arena...

Since this is supposed to be a home game for us I hope they play BGSU music during the game. It will be a bummer if they don't. Also, I hope our announcers are there to call the game, instead of the Walleye announcer.

I hope we continue last night's energy and momentum into tonight's game!! I would love to sweep the Weasels!!!

Go Falcons!!!
