Re: Hockey vs. O$U
I couldn't believe the attendance either, thats great! And for the people wearing OSU stuff selling falcon club 50/50; those people should be kicked out of the city of BG and if they earned their degree from BGSU, it should be taken away.
OSU is like a factory, its big, impersonal, and they don't even know they have a hockey team there. It also looks like a factory, which is the main reason why I never wanted to go there.
Go Falcons!!!

Great game last night and a great crowd. The team looked very good and skated hard the entire game.
Concerning the 50/50 person in OSU gear. I'd see this, but do understand Falcon Fantic and several others knee capped him.

I wouldn't want to see the moron selling tickets EVER again. That is the most utterly bone-headed and directly insulting thing on this earth, to sell 50/50 at a BGSU home game in tOSU garb.Tech83 wrote:Great game last night and a great crowd. Well, they were wearing tOSU stuff, so obviously they are immune from feeling humiliation or shame.pdt1081 wrote:NWLB wrote:Tech83 wrote: I personally vote for public humiliation/shaming.
Having somebody from FC have the guts to say "that was not cool," would be nice.

February 27, 2010 was the last time we reached 3,000+ in attendaceOfficial Attendance is listed as 3,228.
Largest crowd since November 21, 2009 4,021
Whatever it was last night it worked, keep it up marketing department. It was nice to actually hear some noise in that building and not hear yourself echo.
Regarding the hilljacks wearing OSU clothing while selling 50/50, CLASSLESS, I bought 50/50 last night from the two guys in the horseshoe end and they were decked out in BGSU clothing. Last I know 50/50 were falcon club members asked to do for particular events, hockey, basketball, football, etc. I not only blame the individuals wearing the clothes but the people asking them to do it need some blame for not curbing that when seen. I'll say something today if the behavor is repeated. Simply unacceptable.
Re: Hockey vs. O$U
The folks at OSU shouldn't have been wearing our stuff while trying to serve a purpose for OSU. Simply not in good taste, and it makes them look like sell-outs in that they are doing it to be at an OSU event.unfalconbelievable wrote:February 27, 2010 was the last time we reached 3,000+ in attendaceOfficial Attendance is listed as 3,228.

To be so utterly bone-headed, as to wear OSU stuff while selling 50/50 is staggering. I won't speak ill of them personally, give them crap in church, but damn. Just the mentality of doing that is something I dislike personally. Up there with the kind of bone-heads at UT, who used to sell OSU and Michigan stuff at their home football games. Geeeez.

Re: Hockey vs. O$U
I totally flipped out when I saw that guy selling 50/50 wearing Zero $tate gear!! I was also told this guy is parent of a youth hockey player from the BGYHA, which makes it even more appauling! The fact that he showed up to get the 50/50 stuff and NO ONE stopped him from putting on a Falcon Club apron and going out to sell is just inconceivable.
I've started a letter to Falcon Club to voice my extreme displeasure in this incident. I would recommend others do the same. This should never happen again!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Not only were there 3,200 at the hockey game, but there were nearly 2,000 for the men's basketball game and 1,500 for the women. For having three big events, and two going on at the same time, I'd say the Falcon fans turned out pretty well yesterday.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

I'd say there were more than that at the hockey game. And the crowd definitely grew when the basketball game ended.drumstix2388 wrote:Not only were there 3,200 at the hockey game, but there were nearly 2,000 for the men's basketball game and 1,500 for the women. I will almost bet there were more than that at the hockey game. Kids Club members need to show pass and get tickets for basketball games but are just waved through the gate without a ticket for hockey. I would guess a couple hundred were unaccounted for in the attendance since they were never scanned at the gate - as always.pdt1081 wrote:I'd say there were more than that at the hockey game. Re: Hockey vs. O$U
I loved seeing the arena so full! Keep in mind the band isn`t counted in attendance either so you can add another 60 or so.
It was a blast coming back and playing in alumni band!
On my way to the arena now for game 2!!
GO FALCONS!
