G. Martin,
You are incorrect. I taped last night's game. I went back to check. It was their radio man, Greg Waddell and the color commentator was Josh Fenton. IT WAS NOT GREG FRANKE!
Regardless, lets go Falcons and take advantage of this 5 minute penalty!!!!
GO BG!!!

Re: BEAT MIAMI!!!
Greg Wadell did go to BGSU so I guess maybe it was him, but he sure as hell sounds a LOT like Franke, if I was him. I don't know if that is good or bad!

STO is showing last night's game again so you can see that Greg Franke did not do the game.

Miami has an agreement with Time Warner Cable Sports for their home games. They used to have a contract with ONN.Falcon Fanatic wrote:So IS Sports Time Ohio a Miami network????
They are in negotiations now for next year.

I think Factman and Gmartin should get their facts right before bashing people on here. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me. Believe it or not, Greg Franke isn't the only hockey broadcaster to ever graduate from BGSU.

..........but there are only two that sound alike!
Thanks to Hockey John for setting the record straight. I think we were "catfished".

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Southwest Ohio doesn't even get STO so I would doubt thats the case.Falcon Fanatic wrote:I wondered that too. So IS Sports Time Ohio a Miami network????factman wrote:So what is the tie-in between Miami, Greg Franke, BCSN etc, etc? Does Franke work for Miami too?
Had no idea Gregg Waddell went to BG. I know he has been Miami's PBP guy for a while, was also the PA announcer for Cincinnati Mighty Ducks games at the Cincinnati Gardens. Have never heard him do PBP but he is very good at PA.

As a BGSU alum and Falcon fan, I'd like to apologize to Greg Franke for the treatment he received on this board.

My favorite Falcon call was from Glen Cerny calling Gino's goal for the national title back in 1984. I too enjoyed listening to Greg Franke as well. Anyone who loves Falcon Hockey is fine with me.
