Tough loss. Not a whole lot of energy in the building from wire to wire, from fans to students to players.
Couldn't get any "puck luck," as Coach would say. Out-shot them by about 20, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Time to regroup and get back to work. It's a long season.

Nope. Still 6th. Still too early as I see no loss can really mess with things. Just look at Penn State. They were #1 and they had an OT loss and drop down to #10. We will probably drop next week even if we win both games. But currently still #6.

These are the kinds of losses that can end up killing a team's chances of being an at-large NCAA participant. Let's hope OSU keeps winning, and it will enhance BG's resume.
Of course, the only sure way to get an NCAA bid is to win your conference tournament.

It's not the only game NMU is going to win this year. End of the season, they will be right there competing for 1,2,3 in the league.Falconwriter wrote:These are the kinds of losses that can end up killing a team's chances of being an at-large NCAA participant. Time for the yearly reminder that checking Pairwise rankings before Christmas is an exercise of futility.gmartin wrote:unfalconbelievable wrote:Bye bye Top 10 pairwise.

With the WCHA, you peek at it middle of January, then forget until the last week of February. Drive yourself insane trying to follow it before then.BGDrew wrote:Time for the yearly reminder that checking Pairwise rankings before Christmas is an exercise of futility.gmartin wrote:unfalconbelievable wrote:Bye bye Top 10 pairwise.
