Ouch gotta beat the last place team in the week, and a win tonight would have put us in sole possesion of 5th since Miami swept Omaha this weekend, now still a point back.
WMU is now in the CCHA basement, and that's who we get next weekend, 4 points is a must

We had a lot of chances to score last night. By my count we hit 3 post/crossbars, and LSSU's goalie played a good game to keep his team in the mix. I don't think I could count how many loose puck scrambles there were in front of their net either that we couldn't bang home. Sometimes bounces don't go your way, but good teams will find ways to win in spite of that.
Hats off to the Lakers for their first league win. I wish it wouldn't have come against us, but that happens.
I would really like to see Nick Eno get some consistent playing time. He seems like he's been the more solid of our two goalies throughout the year. Jimmy's played one good game by my count (W over Miami) and the rest he's been maybe average.
Our power play was clicking better tonight, but just couldn't finish. To go 1/10-12 (lost count..) against a team with a 60ish% PK is not good. Last night we were victimized by the posts... but if we want to make a run for home ice, we've got to be able to finish!
well.. Sweep the Broncos!!!
