"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I gotta say, it really is fun to have an exciting team to follow again. I am jazzed about this group and look forward to following them every weekend. It feels a bit like the 80's and early 90's!!!!

Looks like you're two games closer to winning your bet with Bigdog.

Oh, and by the way, I cannot stand Western Michigan. I still haven't forgiven them for the Family Weekend Disaster in 2005, so to see us sweep them on the ice (and have them pick a fight with us one game because they are sore losers) is awesome!

I'm wondering why Nathan Ansell was allowed to play in Saturday's game for WMU. Wasn't he the guy who was DQed for hitting Solway from behind? Anyone have any information because, heaven forbid the CCHA have different standards for different players...

There was no DQ assessed and never was. The referee called it a game misconduct. For whatever reason it was entered into the stat computer as a DQ and that's why that appeared on Gametracker.

The reason a goal appeared on Gametracker the second night then disappeared is because there was an apparent goal that was later waved off. It was signaled as a goal, then reviewed and waved off. It was NOT waved for goaltender interference: if that were the case there would have been a penalty assessed and there wasn't.
