Can you provide a link to your source? A coup of this type ought to have been big news...why havn't I seen it published?

Two sources: http://tinyurl.com/4bna9s http://www.hamiltonredwings.com/roster.php

(Verification is a wonderful thing)

If it's only a verbal commit, the University can't comment on it under NCAA rules.

Good sized defenseman and leads all d-men on his team in scoring so far this season. He's also sixth in the league in plus/minus (on a pretty weak defensive team.)

There is an interesting name on that Sioux Falls roster at least to BG hockey fans...I know there's at least one other player on that roster who AT ONE POINT wanted to play here. Wonder if we've given him more of a look than the staff did by ignoring him COMPLETELY when he was here for a hockey camp? Wonder if he has changed his mind? Inquiring minds want to know...

If he were to sign here, would we call him Scooby II or Scrappy? :)

Definitely Scrappy, though Scooby II is pretty funny!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Thanks for the info Freddie. I'll bite my tongue other than to say, if we had a chance at a kid that signed to a BETTER program, I shake my head. Oh well, I guess we can be glad it wasn't a CCHA team so he could kick our asses for 4 years.

GO FALCONS!

Please correct me if I am wrong, if I have the wrong person in mind.
Didn't Brian Escobedo's little brother attend Ron Fogarty's 1st Contact Camp here at BGSU.
I heard that he said that he wanted to go to school at BG and play for the Falcons.
What happened? He is good enough to play for BU but not BG??

Okay, let me get this straight. We're jumping on the coaches because a kid who is barely 18 years old changed his mind about something he said at least three years ago? By that logic we should send Sexton back to whichever school in the east he had actually COMMITTED to before changing his mind and coming to BG.
