.........but if you ask me, we're no better off now then we were with Williams last year.
I was wondering when somebody was going to drop this bomb. My take, we were suppose to have got one of the top assistants in the country. Many top coaches come into programs and you see results the very next year. Urban Meyer for one and Jim Trussel for another and list goes on of coaches the won the very first year with other coaches players. Whats our excuse? We need a new arena........keep talking that way.....and see where the program goes. We have to put Ws up and fans in the stands before something like that would happen. Ws will solve many problems that are discussed now.

Also, on a sidenote, Where the heck is the Bill Frack of Hockey? That guy just gave 10 million to Basketball.......wow. Hockey almost lost it's progam and Jack Vivian was the only Big Time contributor of a $250,000. Where are the big time supportors? If I could give 10 million I would but not in that economic class, yet.

Urban Meyer is among the rarities in college football. Jim Tressel had a pretty good roster coming into Ohio St... those coaches aren't among the majority. Most coaches need a few years to get their program rolling.

The hockey program needs stability, and it started with the coach, and it continued with the Bring Back the Glory campaign. As far as what we see on the ice.... maybe we aren't better off than where we were with Williams. However, I can almost guarantee that the stuff that happens off the ice (recruiting, conditioning, meetings, etc.) we are most definitely better off. Not because of Bergeron > Williams, but because the program has some stability now.

Side note: you all bring me enjoyment listening and reading everything that sounds crazy. I know we live in the cornfields, but lets not pick up the pitch forks yet.

Been frustrating following this year's team...it started off decently but lately, scoring a goal a game is tough. Just gotta keep fighting...

Are you serious? Trust me, Jack Vivian is NOT the only big time contributor (Scott Hamilton gave $500,00 to the program a year ago and this was well publicized). Most of them have given "silently" (ala Rob Blake) but the $ has been coming in. There is a chart in the ice arena hallway that will tell you how far along the campaign has come.

BG Fan - You are correct I forgot about the Scott Hamilton contribution.

Being at the games this weekend they did have a chart in the main concourse showing the total raised and goal for "Bring back the glory fund". According to the chart it currently sits at $4 million raised, goal is $9 million.
