Watching it again, the embarrassment is on the refs. Not only missing the obvious delay of game, but also missing what started the whole thing. Fyten gets speared in the back of the leg. That's what set the whole thing off. Spearing is a 5 minute major, and was missed during the lengthy review.

I don't know how you don't call the delay of game, and how you miss that spear on the 10 minute long review. Like I said before, the only reason the game gets out of hand was because the refs stopped calling penalties, and the teams kept pushing trying to find where the new line is, but there isn't one, so you get what happened at the end of the game.

I don't normally like hating on the officials because it's a thankless job, but all I want is consistency throughout a game so both teams know what's acceptable and what's not. Whether its the first 5 minutes of the game or the last 5 minutes of the game the calls should be the same, in my opinion.
