If a goaltender inteference call gets made, things could have gone very differently, not saying the right call was or wasn't made, just what if-ing.

I understand their broadcasters are probably students but they need a class on professionalism. Showing lewd signs multiple times, outright insulting a player for being a back-up, and insulting the officials are something you leave off-mic.

Falcons fall 7-4. Shots were 42-21 in favor of Ferris. Hammy got hurt towards the end of the game and was pulled but it seemed to just be precautionary as the game was out of reach at that point.

I actually like this arena. Its smaller than BG's, but its brighter and more lively than ours is. Our band is WAY better, but their students are on break so that could have something to do with it.

This place is like the OSU Dink with much nicer improvements.

Also, the photos have been updated.

Did Ferris "run" Hammy or was it a fair scrum?

As we prepare for game three, this may help to put it in perspective:
11th place in an 11 team league, yet at this moment....
#11 BG, lives to fight another day!
#10 Alaska, gone in opening round
#9 Ohio State (considered a NC contender 8 weeks ago), gone in opening round
#8 Notre Dame (pre-season nations #1) 10 minutes from elimination at AnnArbor.
#7 Lake Superior swept in quarterfinals
#6 Northern Michigan, gone in opening round
#5 Michigan State, swept (embarassed) in quarterfinals.
#4 Miami, headed to JLA
#3 Western, ditto
#2 Michigan, ditto
#1 Ferris...wondering why they waited 6 periods to run the goalie.
Du hockey comme dans le temps!

When Hammy got hurt? No. Peltoma checked the Ferris player onto him.

after last nights game a few things I've taken away for Falcons to WIN game 3:

Positives:

1) Can score and that's contagious, others players are scoring that are not premire scorers

2) Hammond has Shown why he is one of the best goalies in the league.

MUST'S

3) Must Stay out of the BOX - being on the penalty kill is hard enough let alone reducing offensive chances we may get.

4) LIMITING their SOG the best we can, they have nearly 100 SOGs in two games.

5) Have fun out there guys........nobody outside of Falcon Country thought you had this in you. You have brought life back into an arena that needed it and can't wait until you play at home again. Enjoying the ride so far, let's not let it end tonight. I want a Sea of Orange & Brown at the Joe on Saturday.

Regardless of the outcome, this is the most important thing. Just have fun.

Agree 100% with both comments!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
